The activities are daily and the staying at the treatment center or Clinical Day treatment allow them to keep their bonds with the recovery, developing new skills for problem solving in order to face new social and family situations, reorganizing their routine and recovering their confidence for new projects in their personal lives.
In Clinical Day treatment, activities such as psychotherapeutic group, spirituality group, career counseling, relapse prevention and social skill groups help in building a new way of dealing with themselves and the disease.
The length of the treatment is analyzed case by case, it depends on the patient’s evolution and on the evaluation from the therapeutic staff.

Clinical Day Treatment is a procedure for more intensive outpatient care, it has a set of psychotherapeutic activities on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30 to 12:00, for the maintenance of abstinence. These activities take place through therapeutic groups of various types: Social Skills, Spirituality, Relapse Prevention and Psychotherapy. All of them in order to assist in the social and family reintegration of the patient.
The activities of the Clinical Day Treatment are addressed to alcohol or other drug addicts that are abstinent and wish to remain in recovery. Abstinence can be promoted in in-patient or outpatient basis. After detoxification the patient may start the activities in Clinical Day Treatment.
The addiction has no cure, it has control. Therefore, it is not possible to set specific time for every person. Since it is an intermediate step between detoxification and maintenance of abstinence, this time is very variable and individual.
Yes, in family support groups, which are held in different time and days of the week from patients’ treatment. Family attendance is required for successful treatment.
